Happy Earth Day 2022: How Two Concerned Elephants From a Children’s Book Exemplify Earth Day Best

Sometimes the smallest changes can make the biggest differences in the world. Take the two elephants from the children’s book Marcelin and Marcy For a Cleaner World. When they discover the dire situation their wildlife friends (ocean life & those living on land) are in (including their own species, the elephants) they want to pitch in to help make their world a better place.

What could be troubling these two elephants? And what do Marcelin and Marcy take on to make it a cleaner world?

What better way to celebrate Earth Day 2022 than by taking part and making a difference? Marcelin and Marcy exemplify Earth Day best!

Marcelin and Marcy For a Cleaner World    Marcelin and Marcy are upset and saddened by the litter situation. They start to pick it up but are quickly overwhelmed with the quantity of human trash.

They ask their friends Paul the squirrel, Rosetta the piggy and Jimmy the vulture to help them clean up, explaining to their friends that litter is going to hurt their friends living in the ocean, the North Pole, the forest; Danny the bear or Mustafa the dolphin and others.

Jimmy the vulture, Rosetta the piggy, Paul the squirrel and Alexia the cat get to work and start picking and disposing of trash.

Marcelin and Marcy are realizing that the issues are with that two-legged creature, the human. Their solutions are to teach those young children the importance of respect for us, the animal nation and nature, by avoiding unnecessary trash and picking it up.

‘Mommy. Daddy. Stop. (A young son exclaims to his parents who have just thrown their lunch trash upon the ground) It will end in the sea and we are going to hurt my friends John the dolphin and his friends.’

By educating the younger, Marcelin, Marcy and their friends slowly change the human behavior towards litter. They do not litter as much and when they do ‘Someone pick it up please’.

All together with true love, respect and understanding of differences and never go down, always ‘pick it up please’ yourself, others trash. The world is becoming a better and cleaner space.”  Transcribed from “Marcelin and Marcy two elephants for a cleaner world by www.pickitupplease.com “ Source (1)
