Journey With Ginger the Elephant Through a Day in Her Life at Wildlife SOS

Despite her blindness and other frailties that come with years of abuse, Ginger is finding her way and embracing her new life as an elephant, as should be. Journey with Ginger, from her own perspective, through a day in her life as a rescued elephant at Wildlife SOS.

Narrator: “My name is Ginger and I was rescued from a life of begging by Wildlife SOS.”

Today, a summer day for me at the Wildlife SOS Elephant Hospital Campus will always begin with a hearty meal of fresh fruits and vegetables. My caregiver is always by my side. He will break down my food into smaller pieces so it is easier for me to eat.”

With my belly full my caregiver will take me for a quick shower. I splash the water all over myself while my caregiver scrubs me down ensuring that my sensitive skin is clean and protected.”
