This year Elephant Spoken Here is devoting our efforts, during World Elephant Day & Elephant Spoken Here’s sixth birthday, both on August 12th, to help free Lucy the elephant from the Edmonton Valley Zoo in Canada. Therefore, all elevents will be Lucy-centric.
1) Aug 15th 2021 event : The World Is Watching – World Elephant Day Demonstration for Lucy on August 15th
The event will be held at the Edmonton Valley Zoo in Canada (on 08/15/21) where Lucy has been held for the past 44 years. Our hearts will be with you, our Canadian elephant advocate friends. Lucy will know you are there and the world, including those of us here in America, will be watching, like you said.

3) Light Up the World for Lucy
“Light Up the World in Yellow“, the color of hope, for our elephant Lucy. She lives, without any elephant companions, in the Edmonton Valley Zoo in Canada.
On #WorldElephantDay, August 12th, create yellow Lucy the elephant “awareness ribbons,” wear yellow in support of Lucy the elephant, create a “30 second video appeal” for Lucy the elephant, and don’t forget the Twitter storm (instructions above, #2) for Lucy. #FreeLucy #ILoveLucy
4) Email Campaign to Free Lucy the Elephant from Edmonton Valley Zoo
For our Lucy the elephant, “please join the Facebook group Save Lucy the Elephant’s email campaign to have Lucy evaluated by a team of independent species experts to determine if she is healthy enough to be moved to a sanctuary. Visit Save Lucy the Elephant Facebook Group for a pre-written email message. Just copy and paste.” (not sure of link, researched couldnt find or distinguish )
